In 2010, KIPO, WIPO, the Korea Advanced Institute of Science of Technology (KAIST) and KIPA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to introduce an international blended (online and offline) training program entitled, Joint Certificate Course on IPRs and Business , based on the IP PANORAMATM Multimedia Toolkit .
Following the success of an international blended training program in 2010 and 2011, four parties had successfully conducted the training course in 2012.
A total of 618 participants from 96 countries participated in the Online Course of six weeks duration. The IP Essay test that target participants who complete the online course was held in September to select the outstanding participants.
A total of 28 participants (domestic and international) were invited to an offline course and some of them from developing countries and countries in transition received a scholarship to cover their travel and stay expenses which was held in Seoul, Korea for 3 days in 2012. |
